As the youngest starting goalkeeper in Ligue 1, Guillaume Restes is an amazing talent who can fit into the best teams and keep his spot for over a decade. With a sky-high potential to match his already solid overall rating, he's the natural choice for teams with a big budget.
Next up, with Burnley dropping back into the Championship, getting the England U-21 hero James Trafford seems less far-fetched. He has a good goalkeeper playstyle and a relatively affordable price.
But if you're on a tight budget, take a look at the giant from Genk, Mike Penders. At 6'7" and with a potential ceiling to match the guys he's in a home with, he's a very smart pick for Road to Glory saves.
Just outside of the Wonderkid category, Lucas Chevalier, Filip Jorgensen, and Anatoliy Trubin are all 22 years old, have mid-80s potential, and a starting rating that already makes them good enough to start in a top 5 European league.
And while he might not be a very realistic signing, Brighton's goalie Bart Verbruggen also has to be mentioned, since he's the youngest starting goalkeeper in the Premier League and is technically still a Wonderkid (though he'll be 22 in August of your save).
Finally, Senne Lammens is getting interest from a bunch of top-tier clubs after a great season in Belgium. He's good with his feet thanks to the Long Pass PlayStyle, making him a hipster choice but a very realistic signing for a forward-thinking club.

Full-back is an interesting position in EA Sports FC 25. Because of the new player roles, you can either go for the classic attacking winger or ask your player to tuck into the midfield to help with the buildup.
Arnau Martinez's rating has shot up over the last year thanks to Girona's incredible 3rd-place finish in La Liga, and he has a lot going for him: speed, technical ability, and a good physical presence that makes him a great addition to any team.
But if you want a physical presence, you should really look at Tom Rothe. He's 6'4" with the Aerial and Bruiser PlayStyles, which makes him a unique option at left-back.
For a more classic full-back, Fresneda, Zakaria El Ouahdi, and Givairo Read are all great.
Obviously, the £40 million Spurs wonderkid, Archie Gray, also has RB listed in his positions, but it's by no means his best position.
On the cheaper side, the versatility of Joaquin Seys and Jorthy Mokio makes it easy to give them playing time in a bunch of different positions. Meanwhile, the young Englishmen Josh Acheampong and Harry Amass have very affordable prices and huge potential ratings.

I didn't include Giorgio Scalvini in my first list because of his slow pace and low agility, which can make him seem like a not-so-great signing. But after playing more FC 25 Career Mode, you can get away with slower CBs these days, especially if they have a faster partner. But thanks to the Block, Intercept, Anticipate, and Bruiser PlayStyles, Scalvini feels like the perfect Italian defender: smart and composed, but tough when he needs to be.
Starting this season, Castello Lukeba has just gotten better and better for a really impressive RB Leipzig team. He can also play pretty much every CB role, which makes him a super versatile player for a top-tier team.
Since Lenny Yoro just joined Manchester United, you won't be able to get him for a while, but there are tons of awesome, overpowered alternatives. Sporting Lisbon has a huge group of incredible young players, but at just 20 years old, Ousmane Diomande fits the Wonderkid label best. He has amazing pace, strength, and tackling ability for his age.
Another relatively expensive option for big clubs is Mosquera at Valencia. Almost all of his key stats are in the 70s, which means with a little bit of training, you can suddenly have an incredible all-around player with a great stat distribution on your hands.
Liverpool's long-term target, Jorrel Hato, is listed as an LB, but he's a perfect fit for the CB position where he can keep up with even the fastest attackers and come away with the ball.
For a player with great athleticism on a cheaper budget, Mikayil Faye has a great mix of speed, strength, and usable defending.
On the lower end of the overall spectrum, most of the players I've suggested have a good mix of speed, tackling, and strength, but some are more specialized. El Chadaille Bishiabu, for example, is slow at the start but incredibly strong and tall—perfect in the middle of a back 3. The Argentine prodigy Tobias Palacio also has some really good stats for someone who's only 17.
Also in Argentina, Valentin Gomez fits the mold of the smaller, more mobile, and aggressive defenders that were popular a few years ago. He's cheap and a great fit for a proactive style.
For English lower league saves, Charlie Hughes at Hull recently got a big potential buff, as well as a huge boost to his speed and strength. This makes him a solid option with 80+ potential as a ball-playing defender.
There are actually a ton of amazing CBs who just aged out of the Wonderkid bracket, so check out our page on the best central defenders in EA Sports FC 25 to grab them too. Jayden Oosterwolde comes highly recommended!

There's a massive number of exciting young midfielders with high potential in EA Sports FC 25. Gavi and Warren Zaïre-Emery won't be a surprise, but there are a lot of players to fit a variety of budgets.
After a recent update, new PSG signing Joao Neves looks incredibly good, with an amazing engine and technical stats to match. Tiki Taka, Press Proven, and Relentless make him the perfect metronome in the middle of the field, so even if he's not available right away, he's definitely someone to watch as your save progresses and you get to the top of world football.
For other teams pushing for the top, Oscar Gloukh looks like a really solid attacking option with a lot of potential. But for adding some steel to your midfield without increasing its average age, I really like the look of Yunus Musah and Pablo Barrios. The American Musah in particular has an amazing physical profile, with enough technical ability to really boss it in a bunch of different midfield roles.
I missed him on my first pass, but Enzo Millot looks like an incredibly gifted technical midfielder with great stamina, dribbling, and passing.
Career Mode legend Martin Baturina is still at Dinamo Zagreb despite multiple links to a move. He's even better in FC 25 thanks to a bunch of new PlayStyles that make him play better than his already good rating.
Another very usable player is Assan Ouedraogo, who has incredible starting stats on a 6'3" frame and a very affordable price.
If you're not as cash-rich, Kendry Paez from Ecuador now has a good in-game look, as well as really high potential. Benjamin Cremaschi, Tygo Land, and of course, Jobe Bellingham, also look like a lot of fun.
Argentina has a history of giving EA Sports FC Career Mode ridiculously overpowered players, and 2025 is no exception. The 16-year-old Franco Mastantuono is one of those attacking midfielders!
Not to be left out, you also have some Premier League academy players to consider. Lucas Bergvall, Alex Scott, and Brajan Gruda (the latter in particular) both have excellent starting stats to match their potential.

The winger position has the highest concentration of certified Wonderkids in EA Sports FC 25, mostly thanks to Nestory Irankunda and Yankuba Minteh, who both have Quick Step+ right from the start of the game. I would try to get them on loan with an option to buy as soon as possible. Irankunda is very usable, despite his stamina, thanks to some surprisingly good strength to match his speed.
In a similar price range, Malick Fofana looks great, as do Newerton and Ruben van Bommel (son of the legendary enforcer Mark van Bommel). Luca Koleosho had a great start to the league for Burnley, while Roony Bardghji—who scored an amazing volley against Manchester United in the Champions League if you remember—is really easy to sign and an excellent technical dribbler.
If you're looking to get the impressive Jamie Gittens after his Champions League performances for Dortmund, just double-check that he's not still listed as "Jamie Bynoe-Gittens" in your save, despite his recent change. While you're at Dortmund, make sure to check out the similar Julien Duranville if you’re on a small budget!
On the high end, though, long-time favorite Alberto Moleiro from Las Palmas just got a massive upgrade to his stamina and 4-star skills, which makes him a very high-quality fast winger who now fits into a lot of top-tier teams. Johan Bakayoko is the classic Career Mode signing: with great speed, dribbling, and the Finesse Shot, Technical Dribbler, and Rapid PlayStyles, he's the perfect inside forward.
And it's incredible to watch Lamine Yamal's rise, as he's already gotten two overall upgrades this season—what level will he be at the end of it?

Striker is a tough position for Wonderkids, especially since the move to EA Sports FC and the new PlayStyles. Finishing and shot power are super important, and those are two areas that young players tend to lack.
To make things worse, two of the best Wonderkids from previous seasons, Youssoufa Moukoko and Vitor Roque, are on loan from their home clubs or aren't even in FC 25. But there are still some really good players you can get.
At Juventus, you could break the Old Lady's heart by stealing every current Bianconeri fan favorite, Kenan Yildiz, for a decent price before his skillset explodes this season—it looks like this will be his real breakthrough year.
But for a good mix of speed, strength, and shooting ability, check out Mateo Joseph at Leeds United and Jhon Duran, who has recently been linked with a move back to Europe from Saudi Arabia.
Also in Saudi Arabia, Marcos Leonardo turned heads at the Club World Cup and easily seems to be at the level required for a top club in Europe.
In Ligue 1, there are some incredible young strikers with great stats for their price. First up, Emmanuel Emegha is a really special physical forward. At 6'5" with a 95 Sprint Speed and 80+ Strength, Stamina, and Jumping—with 78 Finishing too—he's brilliant in the game. Lucas Stassin is also worth a look; he's a very skilled football player with 79 Finishing at just 19 years old.
After a recent patch update, Giuliano Simeone is destined to become a Career Mode legend. While his potential isn't that high, his physical profile is incredible for someone with such an affordable price: 85 Pace, 81 Strength, and 87 Jumping mean he has everything you need to get on the end of chances. You just have to train his technical skills to get a very special player! His dynamic potential makes him a must-buy for lower league saves.
The same goes for Charalampos Kostoulas at Olympiacos, who already had good speed and stamina but now has 86 Potential after a recent boost, making him a very solid pick-up.
Santiago Castro, who's getting minutes in the Champions League for Bologna, also looks great, as do the movement stats on Facundo Farias, while Karim Konate got a huge buff from his EA FC 24 rating to now have excellent overall stats.
But if it's pure potential you're looking for, then Semih Kilicsoy and George Ilenikhena can't be ignored—both have a starting potential growth of +16.
