Borderlands 4 SHiFT Codes

The dangerous planet of Kairos is full of unique treasures and weapons in Borderlands 4, but for a free and easy shot at getting some legendary loot, you’ve got to use SHiFT codes.

SHiFT codes are one-time-use reward codes that Gearbox Software drops from time to time—and sometimes even their CEO posts them on Twitter. These codes usually give out those awesome Golden Keys, which let you open the golden chests scattered all over the map.

Golden chests can be found in most of the big cities, camps, and hideouts you discover across the planet. They’re great because they give you a chance to score the most exciting legendary weapons without having to farm the same bosses or high-level enemies over and over again.

So, while your main mission is technically to get rid of the evil Time Guardian’s influence on Kairos, we all know the best part of Borderlands is that magical sound a high-level piece of loot makes when it drops. SHiFT codes make that happen more often, so what’s not to love? Here’s how you can use them and all the codes that are currently working.

Keep in mind that SHiFT codes in Borderlands 4 are case-sensitive, so you have to enter them in ALL CAPS for them to work.

How to Use Codes in Borderlands 4

Just like with the previous Borderlands games, you'll first need to sign up for a SHiFT account. Once you have one, it’s pretty easy:

1. Head over to the "My Rewards" section of the SHiFT website.

2. Enter your code in the "Redeem a Code" box and click "CHECK".

3. It'll ask you which game to use the code for—choose Borderlands 4.

4. Your free Golden Keys will be added to your inventory the next time you start the game.
