Fortnite events have traditionally been a great source of V-Bucks. However, the last major event that rewarded V-Bucks was Road Trip in 2018. It’s worth noting that some events significantly increased the number of Mini-Boss missions, thereby boosting V-Bucks earnings during the event period. Events often featured unique questlines, progression systems, and special content.
Throughout the events, new heroes, weapons, traps, and survivors were introduced, with many rewarding free legendary items and V-Bucks upon completion. Each event brought a unique store, and players earned event-specific currency that could be used to purchase Event Llamas. This meant players could unlock heroes, schematics, and other items without needing V-Bucks. Standard V-Bucks-purchased Llamas would include the current event’s currency. Additionally, new items often led to updated sections in the Collection Book.
V-Bucks as Event Quest Rewards
Unfortunately, the last event that provided free V-Bucks was Road Trip in 2018. Since then, events have largely recycled content without including V-Bucks rewards.
