Pocketpair, the developer behind the hit early access survival game Palworld, has just released a fresh update. Since its debut in early 2024 on Steam and Xbox, Palworld has taken the gaming world by storm, rapidly becoming one of the year’s top new titles despite being in early access. Now, PlayStation 5 players can also dive into the action and experience the excitement for themselves.
Since its early access debut, Palworld has gained immense popularity, but it hasn’t escaped some controversy. Right from the start, many fans noticed the resemblances between certain Pals in Palworld and Pokemon. This led Nintendo to take action against developer Pocketpair, referencing its patent on ball-throwing mechanics. As a result of the lawsuit, Palworld had to alter how players summon their Pals, a change that hasn’t been well-received. Nevertheless, Pocketpair remains committed to the game, consistently rolling out major updates.
After Palworld’s launch in 2024, Pocketpair rolled out two significant updates. The Sakurajima update brought a new island to explore and new Pals to capture, while the recent Feybreak update expanded on that with even more content. Pocketpair isn’t stopping there; they’ve just released version 0.4.13, which, while not adding major new features, addresses some lingering problems and fixes bugs.

After installing the newest update for Palworld, players will see an improvement in the turning speed of Xenolord and Frostallion while airborne. The drop rate for legendary blueprints from the large chests on the Large Oil Rig has been increased, and uncommon blueprints have been removed from the loot pool of large chests. This update has also resolved issues that led to players falling beneath the terrain, Pals failing to generate power, and tower bosses becoming immobile.
In the latest update, Palworld Pals have received some helpful adjustments! They will now return to the player if they stray too far during combat, and they won’t dodge when a weapon is aimed at them. This update also includes various bug fixes, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience. Fans can anticipate additional updates in the near future as the game gears up for its 1.0 release.
