No matter how strong the Sinner Identities in Limbus Company are, they won’t stand a chance against foes if they’re not leveled up. If you’re just starting out, here’s a brief guide on the best ways to earn XP for your characters.
Combat and Grinding
If you’re just starting out, most of your XP will come from combat. Every Sinner on your team earns XP after completing a battle, even if they didn’t take part in the fight. However, those who actively participated will receive a larger share of the XP. Keep in mind that, like many free-to-play gacha games, this leveling process can be quite gradual, and as you face tougher challenges, you’ll need to discover more efficient ways to level up.
Once you reach the midpoint of Canto 2, you’ll gain access to the Luxcavation mode. This feature allows you to take on certain enemies for a chance to earn various rewards. Not only do these battles provide a good amount of XP, but they also drop consumable items that are fantastic for boosting your level.
Using Consumable Items
If you’re looking to avoid the grind of manually leveling up your Sinners’ Identities, consider using Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets. These handy consumables are designed to help you level up your characters quickly and come in different rarities.
Identity Training TIckets
Identity Training Tickets boost an Identity’s XP by a fixed amount. Think of them as the level-up resources you find in other gacha games, such as Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact. They’re perfect for speeding up the XP grind, but to fully max out a single character, you’ll probably need a good number of these tickets. There are four tiers available, each providing progressively more XP.
- Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP
You can mainly acquire these tickets by farming the EXP Luxcavation stages. Additionally, they are available through both free and paid Limbus Passes, as well as during the regular attendance check events.
Level Boost Tickets
Level Boost Tickets allow you to skip the usual XP requirements and elevate your Sinners’ Identities directly to a chosen level. They hold greater value than Identity Training Tickets because they serve as quick leveling solutions, but keep in mind that they are also quite rare. You can primarily acquire them through the Limbus Pass, and occasionally during attendance check events. Unlike training tickets, these cannot be farmed. Various Level Boost Tickets can enhance your characters to the following levels:

- Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40
