Once players complete the main story quest at Jackdaw’s Rest in Hogwarts Legacy, they’ll be tasked with a new quest from Professor Sharp called “Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1.” In this assignment, the professor asks players to do two things: first, to obtain and use a Focus Potion, and then to acquire both Maxima and Edurus Potions and use them at the same time.
The game leaves players in the dark about what it means to combine two potions. In this guide, we’ll clarify how to use potions at the same time. If you’re seeking detailed guidance on crafting the potions for your quest and sourcing the materials, don’t miss our dedicated Hogwarts Legacy guide.
What do You Get for Completing Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1 in Hogwarts Legacy?
After students wrap up their tasks for the Hogwarts Legacy professor, they will master the Depulso spell. According to its in-game description: “This spell forcefully repels a range of objects and adversaries. Although it doesn’t cause direct damage, it can hurl enemies and items into each other, leading to destructive outcomes. It’s also effective for maneuvering and spinning objects for multiple applications.”
How to Use Maxima and Erudus Potions Simultaneously in Hogwarts Legacy
After players have crafted the necessary Maxima and Edurus Potions, they should follow these steps to use both potions at the same time.
- Hold down the L1/LB button to open the Tool Wheel.
- Hover over one of the potions and then let go of L1 to equip it.
- Once it’s equipped, players need to drink it by pressing the L1 button again (but don’t hold it).
- Once the potion’s effects have activated, go ahead and quickly equip the second potion by repeating the process.
- The game will know that the player has two different potions activated simultaneously, completing the request from Professor Sharp.
