Helldivers 2 Patch Set to Release Tomorrow with Exciting Updates

Tomorrow, on September 17, fans of Helldivers 2 can look forward to the arrival of a highly anticipated patch, packed with significant updates. Arrowhead Studios has chosen this occasion to unveil a special feature in the patch notes that is likely to satisfy players eager for improvements. One major highlight is the much-discussed 500KG bomb, which has reportedly been enhanced based on community feedback.

For those who may need a refresher, previous announcements revealed adjustments to various items, including flamethrowers, multiple firearms, and enemies equipped with rockets.

The Eagle 500KG bomb, in particular, has faced criticism for not living up to expectations. Its performance has often been likened to the famous slogan of a well-known British wood stain manufacturer; visually striking upon explosion, it falls short in the actual damage it inflicts within its range.

However, developers Johan Pilestedt and Niklas Malmborg have recently shared in a lengthy conversation that Arrowhead has effectively resolved this issue. “It’s now what it was supposed to be,” Malmborg stated, confirming that the bomb will now deliver a considerable impact on enemies. Pilestedt emphasized the bomb’s potential, assuring players that it will “blow up a lot of enemies.”

While players will need to wait until the patch launches to experience this enhanced firepower, Arrowhead has given fans a consolation prize in the form of the Orbital Napalm Barrage stratagem, which was previously unavailable due to changes in the game’s Major Order system. This strategic option became available when Tarsh and Mastia were removed from the automatons.

Unfortunately, the latest mission outlined in the patch appears challenging, particularly its requirement for players to defeat a large number of Terminids. Given that only four tasks were set—two targeting bugs and one concerning the automatons—those fighting for Super Earth deserve acknowledgment for their efforts.

What are your thoughts on these exciting updates in Helldivers 2? Share your opinions in the comments below and keep an eye on our updates to catch the patch launch tomorrow, September 17!
