Exciting news for Genshin Impact fans! A recent leak has surfaced, hinting at a new sub-region that might be on its way in the next few months. The launch of a new area is always a major highlight for the Genshin Impact community, bringing along a wealth of fresh content to explore.
When new regions are added, they often come with a host of new characters, including an Archon who acts as the primary guardian of that area. The central storyline typically focuses on this character. As is customary, Genshin Impact has not launched the entire Natlan region in a single update, so players can look forward to new sections of the Pyro nation being revealed roughly every other update.
A trustworthy leaker in the Genshin Impact community, hxg_diluc, has disclosed that the game will be adding a new sub-region called The Great Volcano of Tollan in update 5.5. This news isn’t particularly shocking, given that Natlan is recognized as the Pyro region, making the introduction of a volcano a natural progression. The Great Volcano of Tollan has been mentioned multiple times throughout the main storyline and is located to the southwest of Natlan. The lore tells us that this volcano was once the dwelling place of ancient dragons, with a palace lying beneath the magma. Following the decline of the dragon civilization, the Abyss claimed the palace and the volcano itself.
Genshin Impact Leak Reveals New Volcano Area for Update 5.5
According to the leaker, the next update could bring the Collective of Plenty into play, one of the six tribes found in Natlan in Genshin Impact. So far, players have met five tribes and their Saurians, with only the Electro tribe remaining. Fans are buzzing with excitement about the chance to explore the volcano, feeling it’s been a long time coming. There are even comments suggesting that HoYoverse might have added this region in the upcoming Version 5.4.
The primary cause of the delay seems to be the anticipated return to the Inazuma region in the storyline. Although HoYoverse hasn’t officially announced this, it appears that Genshin Impact Version 5.4 will center around Inazuma, especially since the newly revealed 5-star character Mizuki is confirmed to be from the Electro nation.
In a similar vein, the next segment of Version 5.3 will see players heading back to Liyue to partake in the Lantern Rite Festival of Genshin Impact. Currently, there are no reliable leaks regarding new characters for update 5.5. Nevertheless, two names that have surfaced before are Ifa and Iansan. It’s wise to approach these rumors cautiously, as Version 5.5 is unlikely to launch until after March.
