This update enriches the game with numerous new features, including a mythic item, quests, augments, and more. Here’s a breakdown of what the 26.10 update has to offer:
↖ Fortnite Update 26.10 Downtime
The Fortnite v26.10 update went live on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 3 AM PT / 5 AM ET / 11 AM BST. The downtime has ended, and servers are back online, enabling players to dive back into the action.
↖ My Hero Academia Crossover Returns with New Skins
The crossover with My Hero Academia is back in Fortnite, introducing a selection of new characters to the island. Players can now obtain skins for Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, and Mina Ashido in the Item Shop. In addition to these character skins, various cosmetics—including Back Bling, Pickaxes, Gliders, and Emotes—are now available for players. A highlight of this collaboration is the new mythic item, The Ice Wall, which offers protection against enemy attacks. This mythic item has been added to the loot pool, alongside the surprising return of the Deku’s Smash mythic. A new questline tied to the My Hero Academia collaboration has also been introduced, providing players with valuable XP to accelerate their Battle Pass progression.
↖ Birthday Quests and Items
September marks the birthday month of Fortnite Battle Royale, which originally launched on September 26, 2017. To celebrate, this update features the annual Birthday Quests, which players can complete for free. Completing these quests rewards players with cosmetic items such as Sprays, Pickaxes, and Back Bling, typically themed around a birthday cake with candles signifying the game’s age. Players can also earn additional XP through special quests, further boosting their Battle Pass levels.
↖ New Augments
As part of the update, Fortnite introduces new augments that modify gameplay dynamics. The 26.10 update adds two new augments: “Reckless SMG Reload,” which hastens SMG reloading when the clip is empty, and “Game Time Reality,” which grants players a Pizza Party consumable and Chug Splash for quick healing. An upcoming augment, “Jump Balloon,” will also provide players with balloons when they jump.
↖ Super Level Styles Revealed
The new Super Level Styles for the Chapter 4 Season 4 Battle Pass have been revealed, featuring three fresh cosmetic skin styles. These styles become available to players after reaching page 3 of Bonus Rewards and surpassing level 100. The new styles include “Heisted Jade” (Green), “Lost Amethyst” (Purple), and “Yellow Diamond” (Gold), applicable to five Battle Pass outfits: Kado Thorne, Piper Pace, Fish Thicc, Mae, and Antonia.
↖ New Skins
Several new skins will be introduced in the Fortnite Item Shop, available for purchase either individually or in bundles. Among the new offerings is the “High Stakes Club Pack,” which includes a variant of the “Joni The Red” skin named “Joni The Scarlet,” along with additional vampire-themed skins.
↖ Miscellaneous Updates
Alongside the primary updates, various items and weapons have been vaulted or unvaulted in competitive play through accompanying hotfixes. Noteworthy changes include the removal of “The Ice Wall,” “Deku Smash,” and “All Might Supply Drop” from competitive tournaments, as well as the return of the “Beautiful Bow Emoticon” to players’ Lockers.
These updates enhance the Fortnite experience, providing players with thrilling new content and gameplay modifications to explore. Dive back into the island and enjoy your adventures!
