Created by Balloon Studios, located in London, Botany Manor is a soothing puzzle game where players cultivate enchanting plants in the picturesque English countryside. It first launched in early April 2024 on platforms including Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. A PlayStation version was set to be released on December 17, but just a day before the scheduled date, Whitethorn Games, the Pennsylvania-based publisher, announced a delay for the PlayStation editions. They expressed their commitment to providing “the best experience possible” for players and promised to reveal a new release date in 2025.
On January 9, Whitethorn fulfilled its promise by announcing that the Botany Manor PlayStation port is scheduled to arrive on January 28. While the game has secured its release date for the second time, it still doesn’t have a dedicated page on the PS Store, so PS4 and PS5 players will have to hold off a bit longer before they can wishlist it.
The PlayStation version of Botany Manor is expected to be priced at $24.99, just like its other editions. This game is a one-time purchase and does not include any microtransactions. While Steam players can purchase the digital soundtrack separately, this option is not available for the Switch and Xbox versions, so it’s likely that it won’t be offered on the PS Store either.
Botany Manor To Bolster PlayStation Library of Puzzlers
Botany Manor made a fantastic entrance, receiving widespread praise highlighted by its “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, which comes from an impressive average score of 83 out of 100 and a 92% recommendation rate from reviewers. Critics have been charmed by its warm atmosphere, clever puzzles, and significant exploration, leading to its recognition as a delightful puzzler and a standout title in its genre for 2024. This positions Botany Manor to enhance the expanding collection of engaging puzzlers available on PlayStation.
After launching on the PS Store, Botany Manor will have successfully hit all the initially planned platforms. Balloon Studios has yet to announce their next project once they wrap up the porting of their debut game. In addition to Botany Manor, January 28 will also bring the roguelite Cuisineer, action RPG Eternal Strands, and tactical stealth game The Sone of Madness to the PS Store.
