Key Responsibilities
- Translate written content from source languages to target languages with accuracy, tone, and cultural nuance.
- Proofread and edit translations to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to style guides.
- Collaborate with project managers and subject‑matter experts to clarify terminology and context.
- Manage translation projects independently, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of word counts, rates, and project timelines in our project management system.
- Provide regular progress updates and flag any risks or issues that could impact delivery.

Required Qualifications
- Native‑level proficiency in at least one target language and professional fluency in the source language(s).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional translation experience in at least one of the following domains: technical, legal, marketing, or localization.
- Proficiency with computer‑assisted translation (CAT) tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or Memsource.
- Strong command of English grammar and style.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver on time.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
- Reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and a modern computer (Windows or macOS).

Desired Skills
- Experience with translation memory management and terminology databases.
- Familiarity with industry‑specific terminology and subject‑matter knowledge (e.g., software, pharmaceuticals, finance).
- Certification in translation (e.g., ATA, ITI) or completion of a university‑level translation program.
- Ability to work in multiple time zones and coordinate with international teams.
- Basic knowledge of project management principles and tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).
