A British couple stayed at a guesthouse in downtown Reykjavík. They were rather dissatisfied with their stay as they found the noise in their room at evenings annoying. As the guesthouse was fully booked they could not move to another room and therefore they had to endure the “party noise” during their stay. Their claim of compensation was refused so the couple turned to the ECC-Net. After ECC-Iceland contacted the guesthouse the couple got 35.400 ISK in compensation.
