An Icelandic tourist rented a car on his travels around Denmark. When signing the lease he checked the contract for three kinds of insurance with his initials, but did not notice that the car rental company had added a fourth insurance to the agreement. The traveller had not requested that nor had he been specifically informed about it. The traveller made a comment when he received the final bill from the car rental company but was refused a refund for the insurance, which was about 43.000 ISK. Then he sought help from ECC-Iceland which shared the case with ECC-Denmark. At last, after the ECC-Net intervened, the car rental company agreed to refund the full amount of 43.000 ISK.
