An Irish woman was denied boarding due to an over-booked flight with an Icelandic airline. She got a ticket on another flight the next day and the airline also supplied her with overnight accommodation. However the woman claimed 400 EUR in compensation as well as was her right. She tried repeatedly to contact the airline by phone and mail, but to no avail. At last she turned to ECC-Ireland, which forwarded the case to ECC-Iceland. Finally, two years after the flight, she received the compensation with the help of the ECC-Net.
